During this exciting time, why not add some new crystals to your shopping list?
We’d love to introduce you to a few of our favorite stones for focus, learning, confidence, and clarity!
Sodalite: This blue and white almost cloud-patterned chloric aluminum silicate is associated with enhancing mental performance, helping to synthesize thoughts, and promoting efficiency and good organizational skills. According to Robert Simmons, it ‘is stimulating to one’s latent genius.’ For these reasons, we affectionately call Sodalite the “study stone.”
Tiger’s Eye: Tiger’s Eye is one of the most recognizable crystals owing to its distinctive ‘tiger stripe’ bands of yellow-brown to gold coloring. Tiger Eye harmonizes well with Sodalite as it is also a stone promoting mental clarity, but carries with it the additional properties of vitality and strength to overcome fatigue and keep persisting even when you feel “stuck” or discouraged.
Natrolite: Though a less commonly known stone, Natrolite has a powerful impact as a stone that supports “brain evolution” and expanding one’s consciousness. The pink Natrolite that we have in stock at Earth Odyssey (set in sterling silver earrings, pendants, rings, and bracelets) is sometimes called “pink Larimar,” though it is -NOT- Larimar (despite its similarity in texture). Natrolite is a sodium aluminum silicate mined in Indonesia that in addition to enhancing brain function, also helps one to see the true nature of people and to heal from heartbreak
Fluorite: If you have trouble with making decisions or with telling the difference between intuition/gut feelings and anxiety, then fluorite is for you! In the Pocket Book of Stones, Robert Simmons describes Fluorite as “ a psychic vacuum cleaner clearing the atmosphere of confusion, cluttered thoughts, negativity, and astral contamination.” Fluorite also aids in dispelling anxiety about the future.
Carnelian: Carnelian is a stone of courage, enthusiasm, and confidence and therefore a perfect empowerment tool for those looking to come out of their shell a bit more this year, seek leadership opportunities, join a new club or activity, or make new friends. Carnelian helps you feel more comfortable in being yourself, expressing yourself, and living your truth!
Lapis Lazuli: Many of you know Lapis Lazuli as a stone associated with ancient Egypt and with royalty. In addition to connecting one with ‘inner royalty,’ and enhancing intuition and psychic ability, Lapis Lazuli also “enhances intellectual ability, making one a better learner and teacher.
